Just bought this car not running. Took the module and coilpack from my 87 and plugged it in with capser's adapter harness. Started up fine. I've been driving the car for a couple of days, and now have a couple of issues.

first, and most important. The car runs great when its cold. As soon as it gets warm, it starts missing. the car has alot of old school Kenne Bell parts on it. It's a stock motor with Kenne Bell headers, uppipe, fpr, plug wires, and a 2 1/2" downpipe. I changed the plugs because I figured they were in there for a long time, and I was right, but that didn't fix it. Could the plug wires be causing it to miss just from age? They were put on back in the mid 90s, but I didn't see any spots where they might be burned through.

Second, the fuel pump does not prime when I turn the key on. The car cranks for a good 15 seconds before it starts. It has an aftermarket pump and hotwire kit. The fp relay is brand new. Can't figure that one out:confused:

Last, it has severe overboost. The last owner didn't know anything about the car, and I suspect the vacuum/ boost hoses are wrong. Where do the wastegate actuator hoses go? a pic would be good.

I think the car has potential. I have most of the parts to convert it to intercooled, but I really don't want the car down. I'd like to get it running good the way it is. Thanks in advance

Just read the sticky. Nice thread. I wish I saw that when I had my first hotair. I think I can figure out the vacuum lines. Still need help with the other stuff.
