Need help identifying a connector

The large one at the end, what does it go to ?

Are these the connectors that go over to the driverside engine compartment by the vacuum canister? If they are I belive that is the Fan connector.

yes I do believe so, trying to find out if the thick black wire is a ground or not.

I am not sure about that, if you have a continuity test or ohm meter you can test it to a ground source.

well I found the other end of it but its cut so now im trying to figure out exactly what the connector is so I can then try and figure out where the wire goes

Here is the fan wiring diagram for 86-87 not sure if that is what you have? Solid Black shows ground connection.

It looks like fan, charcoal canister and MAF connectors to me. I'll look at mine when I get home tomorrow.

Thanks a lot just want to be certain it's hard to tell when the harness is laying on the ground, pluse I'm going from a 85 to 87 setup so my old harness doesn't help me for comparison

So does the black wire in terminal C go to ground ? I traced the wire and it runs behind the pass side cylinder head where the other ground eyelets are located but it's been cut so I just want to be 100% certain before I mess something up. I found some schematics on gnttype but could not read it being that they were so small. Thanks again for the help

I looked at mine today and it still looks like purge, fan and MAF. A little further up the harness there should be another connector for MAT. I've attached the schematics and connector details. The wire colors will let you know with certainty.

As far as I've been able to discern over the past 27 years all solid black wires on these cars are grounds.
