I have a 89 Turbo Trans Am, The other day the tranny seemed to start acting up so I adjusted the TV cable and it still would act up, So tonight I dropped the tranny pan to see if there was and metal in there and it looked clean the fluid looked good and did not smell burnt and there were no metal shavings in there, I did however find a little plastic piece in the bottom of the pan that I have no Idea what or where it goes. It's a round shape with a hole in the center. I have pics located at http://www.cherishphotosbymisty.com/namethatpart/ if any one can tell me what this is and what it goes on, I would greatly appreciate it, Thanks Jason

chris718, The piece looks dark brown almost black. It's flat on one side and the other side kinda curves out, My wife said it looks like a volcano when the flat side is down (sons doing Science Homework) If it is the washer can you get it by itself? What kind of problem would the tranny be experiencing? Mine just dont seem to shift the way it use to. Not as firm and it shifts at about 3300 RPM under WOT, and when your on it hard it just seems to have a delay in shifting kinda like slipping under WOT. Thanks, Jason
