Hi guys,
I have a 87 grand national, and i am looking for help on my coolant system. I did not have a problem with my car running warm until my front mount intercooler was put on. The factory clutch fan was also replaced with a electric fan. What do you guys think about this?
thanks in advance
charles

i think the factory coolant fan is electric to start with so how did you put on an electric fan? the only belt operated fan i can think of is the intercooler fan down by the crank pulley. i talked to guy who put on a frontmount and had major cooling probs. so he bought a new radiator from CAS and it solved his problems. HTH:)

im sorry i thought the fan was clutch operated, are there any other ways around an aluminuim radiator. i just cant afford to shell out that kind of money right now.

CAS sells a core which is about $139 i believe. you could take it to a radiator shop and have them weld on the endtanks. or you could go to a radiator shop and have your stock one re-cored for around $200 i think.
