I am finally ready to throw my hands up on one of my vehicles.
1994 S-10 blazer 4.3 HO vortec (CPI) 4x4. 156,000 miles.
Here is the symptom - it dies while driving. Seems to happen when you come to a stop.
If I start the car and let it idle, it will run for 20 minutes and never die. Drive it somewhere and the first time you stop, it dies out. If you are rolling and put it in neutral and crank it, it wont start. Come to a complete stop, put it in park, turn off the key, and it will fire right back up.
I am doing this in the lot at work, so my tools selection was limited. But, so far, I replaced the fuel pump. That wasn't it.
In the past few months, I have already done plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and coil.
My next thoughts are ECM or (maybe, but not likely) ignition module. Any other ideas?
When it dies out, it just dies. No sputter, hesitation, just as if someone turned off the key.
Anyone ever heard of this before?
No CEL, no sputter, runs and drives fine - just dies out.
