was driving around yesterday and noticed a new problem ive never had before. was cruising down the road at about 35 or so and the engine felt like it stumbled the check engine light popped on briefly and the scanmaster showed knock. car was just cruising under no boost, this happened a few times at different speeds. car has been sitting for about a month or so due to a broke exhaust hanger and exhaust leak, had that fixed yesterday but didnt notice the problem before hand. any thoughts ?

Good idea thanks. Where is the main ground junction located ?
Does the car sit inside? any chance of critters getting under the hood chewing on wires? Look behind the pass side head there is a ground junction where you have multiple grounding points. Also check your main ground from the battery to the front side of the pass side head just under the turbo. I doubt anything has come loose from just sitting unless something got in there and chewed on wires. It could also be some bad fuel or you got some moisture contaminate in the tank from sitting.

I would do a visual check over all the engine wires and grounds, also maybe pull and inspect the plugs just to verify and run that gas out and put in some fresh stuff before you go too far and drive yourself crazy trying to find it.

is there anything i can add to the gas ? its got a full tank so running it out may take a while, plus if its got moisture in it i shouldnt run it right. would bad gas make the scanmaster show knock ? the fact that its stumbling doesnt really scare me it more so the knock that appears, got up to like a 9. but the car is stored in the garage so theres a possibility something may have got in there. is there anything you can put in you garage that deters critters ? other than a cat or snake:D

yeah there are fuel stabilizers you can buy that are made specifically for helping moisture in the gas........you said you were just cruising and got 9.0 degrees of kr? or .9?????? 9.0 is a alot if its real and I imagine it would be if you are just cruising.

If it is really 9.0 degrees then we are going to need a little more info....you said cruising.....TPS voltage, rpm and I would definitely check fuel pressure. You said it did it once then you parked it correct? I would try to dupilicate it and note everything you can and post some scan master readings. Also check your plugs they should all be the same color make sure none are white.

Also while you are checking wires go overall your vacum lines.......

yea it was 9.0, wasnt that high every time but thats the highest i can remember. gonna get back in it in a couple days if i get time and will try and get more info for you. thanks for the help
