Click to expand... I think the 275's might hit the frame without a small spacer. Also, there really aren't any 275/50R17's. 275/40R17 is the common size. They are only 25.7" tall, so they won't fill the wheel well like 255/50's. In a regular radial, the slightly taller tire should hook better than the slightly wider one.
