Need to borrow knwn good MAF...possibly ECM, ICM and Coil pack

Howdy,

With Papa Lou out cruising his Z06 across country, my access to free parts is embargo'd so I am in need of a few known good parts for troubleshooting purposes only...possibly to purchase if the owner is willing to part with them should I find that mine is bad.

I've got most of what you need. I have a good MAF, several coil packs, several ECM's a coil pack tester, Ohm meter etc. The only problem is that I'm down in San Diego. If I can help you out let me know.

had similar problem when the TPS would get up to temp. anything over 1/4 throttle the TPS values would drop to 0.2 v. did not have any SES lights, just a lot of jerking when ever i would give it the gas.

I just let the car warm up this AM and every several seconds it will stumble at idle. I tapped on the MAF while it was idling smooth and it would induce a stumble...
I have not tried to drive it with the MAF unplugged, but at idle if I unplug it, the RPM drops from about 850 down to 675 or so. If I let it continue to idle with the MAF unplugged, it eventually stumbles so bad it wants to stall. The BLM's stay pegged at 116 at idle whether the MAF is plugged in or not and at idle the cc's are at 181 and not moving.

I checked the TPS wit the engine off. It's pretty linear. Starts at .42 and sweeps nicely up to 4.56 at WOT.

I pulled the cam sensor cover tonight...all looks good in there...

Can you bring your spare stock MAF to your shop tomorrow? I'll swing by and pick it up to see if it fixes the issue, and then bring it back to you the next day.

Hey Mike,
I stopped by but could not find the part.
...but as luck would have it, as I left the parking lot, I found some homeless guy holding on to a cherry OE MAF for an 87 GN. He appeared to be getting ready to smoke some weed through it.
I gave him $5 bucks for his pipe...and through in an empty Coke can for him to use as his bong...a total win-win-win!!!
He gets to get his hits in (winning!)....I helped to recycle an aluminum can for the environment (winning!!)...and I have a nice MAF to replace my busted one with (winning!!!)
Can't wait to get home and try it out.:biggrin:
