Need to know what parts came with the v2 kit. Just bought a bare v2 intake with t-stat housing and need to know what other parts i need to find to install it on my car. I dont need the i/c and piping as i have my own setup. But need to know what else the kit came with. If the old parts require modifications, is it something i can do myself or need done by pro. Instructions that came with the kit would be great to. Thanks for any help.

Just off the top of my head you will need:
87 throttle body w/ a plate blocking off the vacuum block hook up as the vacuum block doesnt clear the hood
inclosed vacuum block off a different car...something you can mount back by the firewall
one way valve to give the vacuum to the vacuum block
intake gasket ;)
87 style tps sensor & iac sensor(mine came with connector that add length to the stock wiring for those.
reclock the turbo to come up over the intake
turbo inlet bell
all your old stuff off your stock intake......fuel rail, egr, pvc valve, sensors, etc.
"s" hose off a 86/87 for one of the water lines going to the intake
the custom bracket to hold the throttle cable and tv cable
a 87 throttle cable, your stock tv will work fine
I never got any instruction with mine, but I bought it new/un-used off someone who originally bought it from Jay or Turbomotion.

Thanks for the info, so the fuel rail does not need to be modified someone told me it needed to be. No i am not the one with the spearco i have a front mount that straddles the rad. Thanks, anybody else have some info.
 
The only way your going to need to modify your fuel rail is if you run a huge turbo!! Oh yes the wastegate actuator will have to be modified to mount on the turbo correctly so it hooks up to the punk good.
 
What is a punk? just kidding i know what you meant, I have looked at your pics while researching different options. My goal is the v2 with front mount i/c, 60 lb mototrons, ta49 or te44 turbo, 3 inch mease dp w/test pipe, hooker catback, dual rear air bags, afpr,340 w/ hot wire, alky. what do you think, any suggestions. I already have everything except the 60s and turbo and the v2 parts i am short. I emailed seturbo about which turbo they suggest but never got a reply. I am hoping ( high hopes ) for 11s but will be happy ( i guess) with 12s. What do you think.
 
Sounds like a damn good combo to me. :cool: I got the V2 with the spearco front mount, 40lbs. injectors, TA-49, 2.5 ATR downpipe, etc..........should be more then enough for me. I wish I would have done something with the heads though, someday ;) You could do a search on TA-49 v. TE-44 turbos. I had a thread on them as I was debating on which one. My TA-49 is awesome with the stock converter!! I have good throttle response even with the spearco front mount! The throttle body being relocated makes a huge difference. You will like the V2 intake, guranteed!! Later, Nick.
