should i be looking at upgrading my turbo or getting a better scan tool (turbo-link) and maxing out my current set up; i do have a scanmaster so im not totally in the dark

Stock turbo is good until low 12's at least. save your money and use it to get your car dialed in better.

Have you checked for play in the shaft and or leaking oil on either side of the seal? Do you have oil in the up pipe and inner cooler?

If it is the original turbo with 160,000+ miles on it, I would suspect that it may not be in great condition. Not saying yours isn't but I have not seen one with that many miles that was in good condition.

sorry, just being a smart ass.....a blow off valve is something that releases the pressure when you get out of the throttle under boost....some seem to think TR's need 'em....I disagree

IMHO 90,000 miles is still a lots of miles. How are the clearances and is there any oil in the up pipe & cooler?

Learn to launch :p
Just kidding man. Seriously, your times are about what I'm expecting out of my car when I can hit the 1/4 mile again, and you MPH are WAY better. You're making more power than I am, you can definitely run better ETs. I think a $250 set of drag radials or M/T Indy S/S tires will help you a TON, and they're cheaper than a turbo (although more expendable). My tires helped my car out a ton.
I would say that before replacing ANYTHING major you get a good scantool. Mine has been a lifesaver. If you're "just" wanting to go low 12s, get a scantool, max your combo, and then tune with racegas. If you wanna have it on the street, tune with racegas then tune with alky and 93 octane. The stock turbo runs out of boost around 22-23 psi, and the stock injectors quit right around then. If you want a lot more than low 12s, a new turbo will be in order, but I would say SCANTOOL FIRST. Good luck!!!
