Will a 87 computer run and drive fine with an 87 chip and 84 E-prom chip on a 87 motor?

Very doubtful... The chip is an eprom chip, do you mean an 84 calpak? The smaller one? Doubtful as well, but that chip may only take over when in limp mode.

Calpack chips are the same for all turbo years. The PROM chip is not interchangeable between hot air cars and intercooled cars, as the ECM's are entirely different. You'll set a Code 51 if you try to interchange them.

Use an 87 programmed chip in an 86-87 turbo car only.

84 and 85 chips are essentially interchangeable on Regals, not useable on turbo Riv's for those years. The Rivieras use a different program altogether.

I'm not sure, I know I have a both chips from a 84 and it will start and run the 87 motor but I'm looking for a stock 87 chip and, I'm not sure if I need both from an 87 ecm
