A 1988 Volvo 740 station wagon that Paul Newman had modified with a turbocharged Buick V-6 has been sold at auction for $80,740, an appropriate number.

I remember seeing a similar build at the Buick Nationals in the early 90’s.
It seems like he finished late the night before driving it to the Nats from Washington state.
He drove it around the block to check things over before heading out.
