no lockup in a lockup

how would the tranny act if you put a nonlockup converter in a tranny with the lockup still intact i think my tranny man forgot to undo the lockup on my trans. expert know how would b great thanks.

The Non-Lockup Valve corrects the fluid flow to the lube circuit to keep the Converter full & prevent overheating. What else?, I don't know.
