I'm getting no reading on digital dash or Scanmaster for mph. This was not an issue before I changed adjustments on the chip. I have disconnected the battery, ECM, removed and installed the chip again. It's still not reading. The cable was noisy before and I can still hear the cable but I'm not getting a reading, has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks for the reply, I probably should have stated that the cluster lights up normally and mph is just displayed as 0 and stays there. It worked fine prior to chip adjustment. Also have a 0 for mph display on Scanmaster

I think maybe the vss buffer crapped out, speedo cable has to be good (odometer still working). Just a coincidence that it went bad when I changed chip settings?

Most likely, the ECM doesn't have anything to do with generating the VSS signal. Just using it for it's own use. Although, the VSS signal to the ECM is shared with the digital dash. So if that wire (BRN, A10) going to the ECM gets shorted to ground the signal to the dash is lost.

Note that the cruise control module gets a separate signal from the buffer, so if it holds then the buffer is likely OK.

Thanks for the info, I will be looking into it tomorrow. Btw the car has no cruise, but I do have a spare vss so one way or another I should be able to get it going. Thanks again
