i changed out my old school vdo to a new illuminated gauge that also reads vaccuum. why does the car not read any vaccuum only pressure?

i dont think. i just have the line teed in with the wastegate selenoid vaccuum line..

loss of boost

i think you got your boost gauge hooked up wrong, this is why your having boost problems too, on your other thread. boost line should be hooked up at the line back on the pass side plenum. maybe this will help both problems.

ya your right. the past cars ive had have always been hooked up to the back of the plentum. when my cousin had this car, he took it to a mechanic that did minor work and the idiot hooked it up to the wastegate selenoid. it still has a little boost creep but it made quite a difference! i think there is something wrong with the selenoid. im thinking about getting a rjc boost controller to help the problem. i also sense a little leak in the driver side header or where the header connects to the cross-over pipe thats minor but it would make a diffeerence as well.
