Hey guys,
I bought a transmission from a friend that was originally out of an '87 GN. It has been rebuilt and converted for a non-l/u converter. I want to upgrade a few parts... and put it back for l/u duty. According to gnttype.org.... there is a valve in the front pump that should have been removed and replaced with a non l/u valve. How can I ID if I have a l/u or a non l/u valve?
Supposedly the tranny was built to stand behind 500-600 HP. Came out of a 10 sec GN... that eventually went to a TH400. I bought all the wiring for the inside of the trans... and the l/u solenoid. I just need to make sure the front pump doesn't have the non l/u valve.
