A friend has told me about a strange problem in his mid 90's Ford Bronco 4X4 automatic.
If he puts it in to gear to soon after starting the engine the trans will shift much harder than normal. When the engine starts, it idles up for a couple of seconds before settling down to normal idle. The usual engine flair after start up. It will continue to shift hard until he turns the engine off and restarts it - as long as he waits just three seconds for the engine to idle down to normal before putting it in gear - it shifts normal???
Any ideas as to what this could be?
