oil coming from exhaust?

i think oil is coming from my exhaust. what would cause this? i thought it was fuel at first. the car had a random chip in it and some 42 # injectors. i got a thrasher chip burnt to match the injectors... it left a spot on my driveway from both exhaust pipes that was dark like oil. could it be the turbo or something in the engine? the car runs pretty good but it has a noise to it i dont like... im trying to track down what it could be. i am about to go investigate. what do u think i should look for?

It is probably not oil but soot mixed with the condensation. Oil usually does not make it back that far. You may however be burning oil that is comming from the; Turbo, Valve seals, Rings, PCV, Intake leak. Are you loosing oil and does the car smoke?

i havent really driven the car enough to find out. i think it smokes a little but im not sure because the car has been sitting for about a year... i am going to have to check it out some more and see if it burns any...

Drive these cars people! That's what cars are built to do! All kidding aside, and as stated before, you may be seeing soot mixed with water which may be confused with oil at first glance. Agree with last post in that oil doesn't usually make it to the tailpipes unless you have major problems.

yeah it is just soot and water... car is still making noise tho... maybe its something like a lifter/push rod/rocker or cam sensor...
