oil filter

what size oil filter is used on the 3.8v6 turbo? the guys at napa gave me a 1040, but the one i bought the car with looks longer.

Chances are, the NAPA boys gave you the original equipment replacement filter. As you see on your car, most go with a longer filter for an increase in filtering material. The AC PF52 (longer) filter is the most widely available proven replacement.

thanks, i'll have to get that longer one next time. Also, I added fuel to the pass side valve cover, is this a bad thing? There was a lot more flow when funneling it in than the KN breather side, which would have taken forever.

Please tell us you added oil not fuel to the engine! I'm sure you did, and no, no reason not to add oil to the passinger side.
