oil pressure

is this normal pressure for a TR engine?
hot at idle 10 psi, it goes up with the rpm , and has the 60# spring installed, the oil pump was checked and clearance were in spec.
im running 10\40 oil castrol

at cold its 40-60 psi but once it gets to operating temp it goes to 10 +\-.

the engine has about 400 miles on it

Mine does the same exact thing. Except mine goes up to around 70 psi when cold. www.gnttype.org states 10 psi for every 1000 RPM when hot. Mine might not be good comparison as it has 350,000 mi. on it.

shmed, I'm the same 10-15 hot idle 60-70 cruise. HTH

When I just rebuilt my engine, the oil pressure with the 60psi spring would barely get to 60 WOT. Idle pressure was 20. I had a KB kit and other assorted oil pump stuff and in KBs directions they give you a shim (It's actually an allen screw) to shim the spring. It raised my oil pressure to 70 WOT. The spring wasn't quite getting to 60psi so shimming it helped me. It won't help idle pressure but if you want more up top it could help.
