 how much oil pressure reading should you have just cranking the engine,if it will not start?i am trying to find out if i have another problem than the one i started out hunting.

If you crank your engine you should get oil pressure. The mechanic at the GM dealership told me when I first brought my car in for service and he changed my oil. He said dissconnect the orange wire from the ECM by the battery and crank the car till you see oil pressure on the gage then connect the wire back together and start your car. So you should see oil pressure if you crank you car long enough. When I put my new turbo on I cranked the car till I had oil pressure, so I knew the turbo was getting oil.
