hey guys how you doing??? i have a 72 'Lark, i plane to turbocharge it this summer. i'm getting a 77'350 block witch is a little stronger getting good rods, crank, forged pistons.
my question is what is a good turbo to run for my set up.
i would like to run a single setup( so i can keep my A/C)
w/ 10 psi. not to much . my 350 can't hold up to how much the TRs are taking. would like to get some help from anyone who would like to give it !!!!!!

Sure it can. The only way to answer that question is for you to first say how much power you want to make though. Intercooled? You do plan to convert to FI too, right?

WELL I PLAN TO MAKE AROUND 400-450 HP. i going to leave as a carb set up.still trying to find out which carb is best. and yes i did plan for a intercooler. this is still going to be my daily driver.
would a gn turbo be good for my app?

A GN turbo might come up a bit short of that. Something lika TE44 might be better. Sounds like fun!

You didn't say what brand engine you were going to run. But I have never seen a turbo intake for a 350 buick were I have for the chevy. I you can't find one I would go for blown small block unless you plan on efi. If you do that I would use at least a 66 or bigger. You could get 500 hp easy out of that.

this will be a buick 350. it is going to be a blow through the carb.
the intake will be from taperformance.com. get a real tight carb cover over the carb. i know i can get 500 HP but i'm not sure how good it will hold together, i guess i'll find out!!!
how fast do you guys think it will spool up.

blowing throw the carb is not a very good idea I don't think.You can make a plate to go between the carb and intake to get boost to the car.I have seen these but don't know who made it. I have four friends with turbo v8's and theres hold together. One was a stock mustang and it went 6.90. Spooling it will not be a problem the v6 and v8 are two diffrent worlds. I may have a friend with the plate for the carb i will ask to see.

and others from V8 buick.com and they said there is no diff between the blow-thru & draw thru. at this link.

where would i get a TE 44 or a 66 from? are they available from other cars, if so witch one, can't realy afford a $700 turbo.
just sarting college so money is tight. or is there even one that is equal to these turbos?? and what company manufactures
these turbos??
