why, was it put there in the 1st place and what is good for? just trying to increase my knowlegde data base about this cars. :D

Most guys ran a 7th to add more fuel in applications where the existing 6 were not enough.

For example:
6 42.5 are capable of suppling enough fuel to go to about 500hp, If you add a seventh 42.5 you could run it to about 575ish.

It was more common years ago when big injectors were not so easy to come by. And ecm modding (to run the larger injector)was considered "exoctic".

Hope this helps.

? on seventh

By running a 7th injector, can't the car be more streetable.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm running 38's in mine and it works really well on the street. But if I go to the strip and turn the boost up and the car needs more fuel that 7th inj. can furnish that . Where as, running big injectors all the time make it more difficult to run on the street.

I had thought about doing this same thing but, I wanted to know if it would work that way or not??

run my normal 38's and maybe install a 72lb injector as a 7th for those higher boost levels.

Chip guys have got the bigger injectors worked out pretty well now, That is why the 7th has gone by the wayside.

You could go to 6 50# and be able to support a touch more HP. And with less complexity of adding a seventh.

I have pondered about adding a seventh in the past, and opted to keep just the six 50's. I am now currently considering going to 65's or all the way to 72's
