Hi Folks,
Started tonight with changing the trans fluid and filter with my "Spring cleaning in September" Trying to fix the funky shifts and lumpy ride.

After puking trans fluid all over the place and making a horrible mess,...it's finished. The new filter was kinda a biotch to get back in and there was an ass ton of graphite loking stuff in the old fluid.

Car runs and shift great now. No leaks. I did **** up the linkage though for my shifts points when I put the pan back on now and the car will BARELY go into 1st. So,... I'll get back to that when I change the fuel filter tomorrow eve. I definately know now why that stupid little plug is recommended.

My question,..... last night I unhooked the orange wire guessing this was the ECU connection??? I left it off for several minutes.

Anyway,.......

Test driving the car after the trans fluid change. (Trying to get it warm to check level) The car seems MUCH slower than it did before. Would this possibly be due to the ECU trying to learn it's new setup? Altitude etc???

Also,... along those same lines,... wouldn't a person be able to raise the boost just a pound or two and make up for the altitude difference wihtout screwing anything up??? Just a thought,...I don't plan on turning it up but was curious is all.

Ken M. Tired calling you today and left a messsge. Thanx for offering the help. Think I got it covered with the tranny but trust me I would be greatful to have someone with experience with these cars teach me a thing or two!
:D

Thanks for all the help!!!

Hmm,.... ok it is a lot to read.

I'll just ask the questions....

Will resetting my ECU cause the car to run slower? (Wondering if it's in a "learning mode" or something because it seems slower after,...wait,..it IS slower after I reset my ECU not seems.

Can someone at my altitude add a small amount of boost safely to compensate fow the lower air pressure?
