The SAAB was constructed by a very old retired guy without blueprints, he did everything from his brain, sadly he passed away just after Per Eklund won at pikes peak.

My Dad had a 1969 Model 96 forever, it seemed, bought it new. I practically grew up in the back seat if the thing. We also had three Sonnets, two 95's and I think we had a 2-stroker also, all sitting in the back field. I don't see old SAAB cars anywhere anymore, and it's a shame, they're well-built. Learned how to drive stick on it, now that was wierd, stick on the steering columb...! Dad took the free-wheeling off so I could learn properly. Still got almost thirty miles per gallon when he finally sold it - I almost asked him for it, too...

Pipe dream would be to get my hands on a model 96 and do this to it, that or a Sonnet III if I could find one for a good price.
