I purchased this OTC used and I'm not too sure I understand how to read the counts. Most stuff I read pertains to scanmaster. How does the OTC compare? Example: o2 volts drifts from.16-.91, closed loop @idle. LV8, 033- 034 hot idle. O2 cross, 002-018. WOT O2 is .94. I was told to shoot for O2s in the upper 700s in 3rd. at WOT. OTC says .94-.95. How do these compare? HELP!!!!!

i really dont know what more you need to know about your readings from the scantool other than that the otc is usually a bit on the highside for o2s
from what you posted
o2 volts drifts from.16-.91, closed loop @idle.
it should jump in closed as it flips from rich to lean based on what it sees at the o2 sensor.
LV8, 033- 034 hot idle.
thats fine little lower than mine but fine , it rise with load as you accellerate

O2 cross, 002-018
this is the amount of activity of the o2 sensor (how often it flips between rich and lean) the otc may be showing the actual difference not the rolling count to 255 like the sm does , as long as your o2s are flipping back and forth rapidly while at moderate cruise its fine , at idle sometimes the sensor gets too cool and the sensor ceases to provide a signal (below 600deg F) and the count will nearly stop , it happens nd doesnt mean the o2 is bad

WOT O2 is .94. I was told to shoot for O2s in the upper 700s in 3rd. at WOT. OTC says .94-.95.
as you were told the otc reads a bit higher than the scanmaster , your 940 is a little rich if thats your third gear O2 reading,

when it comes to going WOT you want your basic tuning to be good before doing so , look at your idle BLM at idle for signs of problems , look for 128 +/-10 , set the tps at base to .42 and at WOT to something over 4.0 ( i like 4.5) , make sure the nuetral switch is set correctly ( when in park park light should shows up on otc 4000), IAC set to 20 or so (not critical as long as its not 0 or too high )
then take it for a spin and watch the O2s and knock , problem with otc is it doesnt do a good job of watching for knock before its too late . i started with an otc 200 and thought it would be ok , the scanmaster is something you should seriously consider.
hope this helps
