Painting FMIC

Painting a FMIC, how does it affect it's efficiency ? I remember reading a old post where it stated that painting it enhanced it's ability to transfer heat. Is this still true today, if so what paint is recommended. Thanks, Kyle.

[Rafs-T-Type]

I painted mine with eastwood radiator paint which claims a heat dissipating formula -http://www.amazon.com/Eastwood-Radiator-Black-Finish-Aerosol/dp/B003CRM9CU . I can not contest to whether or not it's harmful to performance though. The one I got was just dinged up and I prefer the more stealth look of a black FMIC.
