passing inspection with dump??

I read a thread on here the other day talking about test pipe laws. Well, I am about to put on a stock d/p with dump welded to it and new cat, but I was thinking what about inspection. Will somebody notice it and say something? Is it illegal if it's closed? Any jersery style d/p users had problems at inspection? Inspection is still a good year away, I just don't wanna have to go through the trouble of taking this one off, it was a b!tch getting the stock one off. I thought I might spray paint the cutout black and whatever is above it black too and then maybe you wouldn't notice it. Or am I sweatin this for nothin???
