i posted these on another board, some one there replyed saying this
I used to throw knives with a friend and his dad when I was younger. Definately fun, but purely a hobby. I really can't see any practical use for it other than to scare the **** out of someone. But it looks like you could definately nail my skull to a wall securly

i must be a pervert but i surely did not expect to see knives!

thats some nice work, i have never be one for throwing my weapons but thats awesome!

i am perdy good with a knife though...

any one else in to kabars and throwing knives?

i got in to kabars and fighting knives after my girlfriend gave me a mk1 egw fighting knife from ww2. ive been hooked ever sence. i started using kabars for work and i carry one daily where ever i go.

i got in to throwing knives years ago on and off but i got in to throwing kabars when i read a story about a us marine whos gun jamed on him in bagdad. a iraqi was raising his gun to take aim when the marine threw his kabar and from 20 feet away it stuck threw the iraqis helmet and deep in to his forehead.

its suprising what kind of force you can put behind one of those knives, thats what, nearly a inch of solid 50 year old pine dry pine board.

I was into throwing knives when I was a teen - I amazed the $hit outta myself a few times - I got really good for about 3 months and then lost interest.

Not questioning your ability but, you should try it with a new piece of wood - that one seems pretty chewed up:D

ive done changed the boards 3 times sence then, every time i show off and throw a good throw it splits the board.:Dbut those boards arnt cheap so i try to go easy on them.

ive got some throwing spikes as well, both bought ones and hand made ones. there fun to throw two at once, one in each hand. ive got a video where i stick two spikes, two skyharks, two kabars, and a s&w thrower in to the board with in 15 seconds so that takes a toll on the board also.

ive been putting it in to practical use, i killed lunch today (fox squral) well, atleast enough for gravey. the only problem was that my kabar nailed the rodent to the tree 15 feet in the air and i hand to do some climben to get my knife and lunch back.

i would not sharpen it, it would kill the value. i keep that large knife dull any way, when i was throwing it with a sharp edge i cut the hell out of my hand a few times so i started using a glove. im just recently throwing it with out the glove because the one finger that it usually cuts up has turned in to a huge calis.

those one ones can be quite pricey. my girlfriend baught me a egw fighting knife for x mas for 30 bucks at a junk army navy store. the cheapest one that ive found sence then was 198.50

post a few pictures of it, id love to see it.

could someone give me the trick to throwing, I could do stars pretty well but never knives worth a darn. Also, what brand is a good one to pick up some throwing knives and/or spikes. If I can't figure it out, I'll stick to my hand crossbow =)

http://www.throwzini.com/

theres some of instructional information there, the problem is theres not to many people who can throw a knife so information even on the net is limited.

if your intrested in combat knife skills look up the books of Col. Rex Applegate. he did not teach much about knife throwing or knife vs knife combat but he did teach practical skills usefull on the street like chucking a attacker in to something and taking them out quickly with a consealed knife.
