At what point should I upgrade to a 3 inch up pipe. Car has the stock diameter which I believe is 2.5 , I made 550 rwhp with the stock one. My car has a front mount intercooler also. Thanks

Very nice 3" with matching combo go into the 9's

How big is the throttle body? If it's smaller then a 70mm it probably wont matter.

I believe mine is around 62 or 63 mm.

Get the throttle body to go with the pipe. A 3 inch inlet pipe is about 76 mm outside diameter. So get a 70 mm throttle body to take advantage of greater flow potential. The biggest pipe in the world doesn't do much if you got a little hole on the end to push the air through. Besides, your combo is ready for it.

Just more volume to compress before the engine sees any boost.

The only time going bigger helps is if they thing you make bigger is the current ''cork''.
