Finally after 12 years I'm back in a Turbo Regal! After driving naturally aspirated cars since my first GN, I forgot how cool these cars sound when the boost is spooling up! Man what an unbelievable sound! The mods done to the car by the previous owner are a Flowmaster exhaust :( , K&N filter, adjustable wastegate, fuel pump hotwired, and a set of Keystone Classic wheels. It's certainly not a show car. It has 78,000 miles but it runs really strong. The previous owner said it ran in the mid 13's so it definitely has potential. The only thing I found that's not 100% about the car is that around 5500 RPM it has a slight stumble. The car has only been driven 100 miles in the past 2 years so I think it may just need a good tune-up. I filed it with Sunoco 94 on the way home and it seemed to help, but I can tell it's not 100% there. I'll try a tune up and see where I'm at. I'll post pictures tomorrow. I can't wait to get this baby in the 11's!

Make sure the fuel pump has been replaced and not just hotwired.

It shouldn't even rev to 5500 (unless you are going over 115). With the stock motor, shifting at 5200 is high enough. The factory tachs are notoriously bad. A scan tool like turbolink will give you an accurate reading.

Congrats on scoring another TR! I love it when people say that they can't understand why we love these cars so much. You are a prime example....12 yrs. later, you had to have another one!

Can't wait to see pics!:D

Congrats on the buick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 04 wouldn't happen to a CE in your sig--would it:cool:

Thanks guys!

Geoff, no the Z06 is Millennium yellow. I actually went to the dealer to buy the Commeritive Edition but when I saw this one I fell in love with it.

Sounds like me, 12 years after I lost my 84 and 10 years after my 85 blew up I got back into an 87 GN.

Congrats on the car, my car was driven all of 1,000 miles in six years and its definately not 100% but I have the same goal as you. 11 second street car.

congrats man, take some pics and post em up. Soon enough you'll be running 11s in it:cool:

Guys, I have a quick question before this thread goes away. Where is the computer to change the chip? I have two other chips I'd like to try and for the life of me, I can't remember where it is.
