Piston ring gap

Hi,

I did buy a file to fit piston ring. Can somebody help me with the proper gap?
Is a street driven car but visit the track ocasionally. Engine is 40 over with forget pistons.

gap

.045 top .050 bottom per inch of bore .so if you have a 4 inch bore than top is .024 bottom is 0.26 that was what je rings instructions said

Add another 0 at the rt side the decimal point.....
