Putting together a list of parts to purchase, whatcha think? Add or subtract as you wish. Looking to spend about $1800, probably closer to $2000.

1.T44 Turbo
2.THDP
3.Maf+Translator
4.50LB Inj
5.Raceplate
6.Dutt Neck for Intercooler
7.Chip upgrade or reburn, (JohnsPerformance.com has a package deal that includes 50lb inj and a 93 chip from Joe Lubricant. I could go that way or just have my UltraChip reburned.)
8.Engine strap
9.New Turbo Oil Feed Line
10.New Turbo Oil Drain Tube

*The one thing left off this list is a fuel pump. I have Postons Performance Fuel Pump which is reported to handle 400 to 600 HP.

*Transmission is going to remain in stock form.

If you don't have a Scan tool, add that to the top of your list.
Most people overlook this...get the car tuned in before throwing parts at it. Also, you will wind up with re-building the tranny when your done adding horsepower!!! Been there, too. Good luck

I would also like to add...take a little more time choosing the turbo. Those 50s can handle a bigger turbo and USUALLY people get tired of their turbo and want to upgrade. I went from a stock to a TE-60 and wanted to upgrade. Buy a big one to start with. Also, consider the convertor while deciding on the turbo. JMO.

1. scanmaster
2. Caspers Knock gauge
3. 2800 stall conv, the 44 will work but the stall will accent it considerably.
4. Is your pump hotwired ? if no get the kit

few more to help

Nothing against Postons because I have done business with them many times but as for that fuel pump...forget it...it's a stock pump that has been shimmed...useless IMO...maybe they have Walbro's now but that's what a friend of mine had from them a couple of years ago...unless you plan on racing a lot stick with the 44 turbo...it's a great turbo for the street and you don't need a converter...stock D5 works fine...

Come on people, I thought I would get more responses than this. I've been on this board learning about these cars for the past 5 years. And this is the list of mods I've decided on, through answers to my questions along the way, as well as others.

More info on the car for ya. Has never seen the track and probably won't. I'm not looking to hit a set track time on the stock stuff then upgrade. I'm looking to buy a proven high to mid possibly even low 11 second setup, depending on my boost setting and octane at that particular time. I have all the usual mods, adj. reg, adj. wastegate, hot wired fuel pump, ultra chip, trans cooler, airbags, scanmaster, turbolink. Like stated earlier, I really don't want to touch the trans. But if adding these upgrades will likely cause problems to the stock trans, then I may have to change my attitude. Adding a converter and other possible upgrades to the trans. really jacks the spending price up. But thats why I'm asking for all of your opinions.
