Power Injection Light

I recently installed my own alky kit. I have a light that comes on when the pump is on, and right now it is taped on my dash, but I have plans to put it in the "Power Injection" spot. I was wondering how hard it would be to do this, and what would I need. I already have the light and holder that would fit in the dash. How should I go about installing the wires. Does our dash have a printed circuit board that all I would need to do is find the wires that goes to that location?

I had trouble locating the proper bulb holder. I got one with wires attached & wired them to the pump on ckt & ground.

there is a single green wire with a female connector on the end under your brake booster.if you put 12 volts to this wire your power injection light will light up in your dash.

Okay, how about the washer fluid light. Do any of you know which one that would be.

I don't know about a green wire under the brake booster, maybe on your car, but not mine.... I would be real weary of that method considering there was no bulb socket or bulb behind my idiot light cover for the power injection section, or the windshield washer low light area either.

You must take the dash cover off to find out before hooking up 12v to any green wire with female connector....
I had to mount a bulb w/ socket to that location and used the same wires that I have turning on my ATR 7th inj. ON light now....

hm,must be a hotair thing(84 gn).my car has a socket with a bulb in the dash factory,and when you put 12 volts to that wire,it turns on.

i wonder when they stopped wiring them in from the factory?

The Hot-Airs were tested with either water or alky (i forget which) before production to allow higher boost levels...but deemed trouble for Joe 6 pack Buick driver.


Maybe that's the green wire.

i looked at it again tonight,and it actually comes out of the wire loom that comes out from under the wiper motor,heading toward the front of the car.a dark green wire that sticks out of the loom about 5-6".

i wonder if 85's had them?

Thanks for all the help. I haven't been able to find the green wire, but I will keep looking. My GN is an 87, so it might not have it on there. Any other ideas guys.
