With the summer seasong approaching, I was thinking I might buy a cheap pressure washer for washing my car. It would save a lot of time, especially since I wash my car at least once a week.

I am wondering if all that washing with a power washer would be harmful to the paint at all. I've heard it is particularly hard on the flat black pieces, but what about the rest of the car?

Thanks.

If the paint is not a good quialty one. It might get under the paint and start to peal. Other then that its not going to do much without useing a little elbow grease. Power washers are only goo fro the heavy dirt. The film of dirt will not come off enless you rub with a cloth or sponge. Enless your power washing the engine compartment on a reagular basis. I'd stick with the old fashion way of washing your car.
