Anybody ever done a complete conversion? By that I mean all propane, all the time :D . I really like the idea behind Jay's kit and will probably bite. But if you're going to the trouble to mount a tank, run the lines etc, why not just go for a complete propane conversion and get the benefits of the fuel all the time. From what I understand the benefits are cooling effect and higher octane. JSTASKN :)

Weren't those converted to methanol only, not propane??? And had 30 gal stainless gas tanks???

I am not sure what fuel they used. I just remember something about a fuel conversion. I was thinking they use several fuels like LP and natural gas but I am not sure.

Back in 1980, I use to work for a company that converted vehicles to natural gas and to propane. This was before cars had fuel injectors.
The biggest problem is proper fuel (propane) delivery for a turbo engine. For a NA engine, it is a piece of cake.
You can look in your local yellow pages to see if there is a dealer/converter company in your area. Look under propane and call a few propane sellers and ask them if they know who is doing it in your area.

Propane is popular here, so finding someone to convert isn't a problem. What I'm more interested in is how the car might respond to the conversion and if there are performance gains to be had. 92 octane is tops locally and my car tends to kr even with alcohol injection. From the responses so far, doesn't seem anybody has tried it on a TR.
