proportion vale

Has anyone had a porportion valve to go bad? i just put the hydroboost on my gn and i does the same thing with it as the vac brakes did. the brake light stays one, then i got under the car and hit the proportion vale a couple time and then hit the brakes a couple times and the light went off , but when it goes down so far the light come back on. any ideas? i've got something going on here.

Did you get it figured out? First thing that comes to mind is air still in the system.

valve

the valve was bad. the light still stays on but it will hold boost. i can hold 20# no problem now.
