This is the billet roller kit w/ T&D roller rockers:
There is a noticeable noise from the engine that I originally thought was a bad lifter causing slop in the rockers. However, upon further review, the noise is not coming from the valve covers, but the timing cover.
This kit comes with the true roller and my engine builder said it is very likely to be the reason I notice the change since original chains contain the plastic "silent" inserts. He is sure that it isn't nothing to be worried about.
I guess I'm just a nervous guy since I already lost one cam (hydro.), so I want to see if anyone else notices this with their setups? I don't have many miles on the rebuild (500 if I'm lucky) and the noise isn't getting worse...nor did it "appear" out of the blue....it was there upon startup.
It sounds like a bad lifter, but it isn't THAT loud
