Doesn,t hurt to try. is that 600 firm or is there a best offer. and can i use that turbo with my 42 pound inj. im new in this game I bought a 79 el camino with gn drivetrain and it runs very good for a stock turbo i dont want to go out of control i just want a good fast street car

This turbo will definitely work with 42 lb injectors... What do you have for a converter? If you are going to be strictly/mainly street I would run a little smaller turbo, just my opinion. Stock engine, correct? I would step up the 42's only if you were planning on racing and pushing things hard.

FYI...

I used to run this turbo with 42lb injectors, and I was pushing 100-110% duty cycle at 24psi, so I would recommend 50lb injectors for this turbo. This was logged with Turbolink.

Thanks for the info... reinforces what I was thinking that if things were pushed hard you'd have to upgrade. Lizard was saying "street car"...assuming no alchy and street boost (16-18 psi) he should be fine. 24 psi I agree an injector upgrade is necessary.

Hey randy I have 42 pound inj with a three inch terry houston down pipe and a 3000 stall converter 9/11 if i believe that's what petesgn sold me and dual hooker exhaust system a 19 pound boost chip with 100 octane what do you recomend petesgn told me to go with a 44 or 49 pt turbo and i will be satisfied

If you already have a converter (esp 3000 stall) you can easily go with a 52. If you had a stock converter I'd recommend sticking with a 44, 49, or 51...since that's not the case you aren't as limited. The 42's are fine as long as you aren't running big boost. With your converter, a 52, and the boost numbers you are talking about, you are starting to get into the territory where bigger injectors would be a good move. 19 psi with that setup I think you're getting up there. I've pushed blue tops (36 #'s) to low 11's at almost 119 and know of people who ran faster than that with them...but I wouldn't exactly say it's the best idea if you get my drift. :)
Bottom line after all that nonsense...You already have a converter, so you can easily go with a little bigger turbo than a 49, 44 or 51...and upgrade the injectors down the line. Just watch the boost. You can get away with 19
pounds with alchy or good gas with the 42's, any more and I would be watching things closely. There are other factors...I'm assuming you have near stock gear, stock heads, etc.

I'm interested for my TTA

I'm on 50# injectors and a razor alchy kit, 3500 stall coming soon

Would I need to modify my flanges or anything or would this be a unbolt old turbo and line, bolt new one in thing?
