Is it only me or did anyone else have to grind off a 1/4" or so of the converter dust shield to make the pan fit without interference?

I didn't see that part in the instructions.

Bench grinder worked great and that was the source of my slight leak the lip was caught under the front of the pan a bit.

yea..

Sometimes they catch a little. Don't run the shield. Let it breathe as long as you can keep in on the road.LOL

I don't like ice and mud in/on my converter. ;)

I drive my car all the time.

I like the shield, and the pan. :)

Thanks for the info.

I guess we Californians have it lucky that we can run it with the cover off. Those guys running in the snow should have it even better because if the snow can get up there, then it should be cooled better;) .

Mine has a pesky leak by one of the bolt holes, seems to be in the weld.

Send it back

Gladly will give another one. I would be very interested to see this particular pan as I would like to avoid it again in the future. Weld? Some "cases" have a short lip on one side sometimes. I have done my best to accomidate all. Very few will, but the 1 or 2 I have seen can be solved just by finessing the pan as it is bolted down. If you are unhappy with it, no issue , return for replacement.
Also, I am sorry for your inconveinece.

Mine had a very slight leak in the weld at the front of the pan. Bruce generously offered to fix/replace it but it was pretty easy to find someone locally to weld it up. No leaks now. :)

Thanks Bruce. I did buy it second hand though. So by no means do i feal you are obligated to repair this, It could have resulted from improper installation from the previous owner.
THanks Otto
