Put THDP on

I just put a THDP 3 in dp on my stock turbo Buick and was wondering does anyone have a template they would share with me so I can cut my stock Turbo heat shield to make room for the THDP , I just do not want to start trimming and make a mess out of it , If anyone has a template I would like to have a copy . This way I could have it plasma cut then .

Fwiw, I avoided hacking on the factory shield by buying a nice chrome one from a supporting vendor. They are already cutout for the bigger dp.

hello people; IMO put a want in the want section and I'll bet you'll find someone with one. Also I'm no fan of chrome and like powder coating it' not a good transferer of heat. I did get mine PC black but I should of left it alone.

I've cut a few already just using a 4" grinder. I use the template from Gnttype and they have came out really nice. I've seen a lot of people just cut out the whole side and most look pretty bad. The curve cut looks good!!

Just cut it with a grinder and ceramic coat it. No template needed.

Do not use the THDP template. It doesn't follow the pipe for crap. I'd set the shield on the turbo after the pipe is one and trace out where you'd like it to be cut and go from there.

Earlbrown The THDP that I installed is using your bolts sold on Fleebay , Thank you for a great product . They fit perfect and look very nice also . You can not go wrong with his products .

I used the template and it was fine for my genuine THDP.

If I ever come across an uncut shield, I'll make an updated template for the THDP. Right now, mine's in a box cause I hate the way it looks now. Glad you like the bolt kit. If you ever need anymore message me on here and I'll see if I can fix you up.
