Anyone ever weld an aluminum bung to the intake for use of a screw in type of pvc? I never got my pvc to seal right and blocked it off. But I want to use one and am thinking this is the way to go. Any thoughts?

My problem w/ the sealing was a casting ridge at/near the edge of the hole. A couple mins w/ the die grinder. NMP.

Yes I suspect that the casting line is the culprit in my situation too. But after messing with numerous grommets and pcv valves trying to get them to work I am over the stick set up. I'd like to weld a bung in and KNOW that it's not going to leak once and for all and just be done with it.

No one else has thought this way or went this route?

Did you buy the correct grommet from Kirban? The parts store grommets don't fit.

Yes. Again I'm OVER the "correct" grommet Yada Yada Yada. I'm wondering if anyone has done what I am considering.

Maybe smear a little "Right Stuff" on the grommet before shoving it in?
