Im putting in some el-cheapo auto zone gauges. The kind with a capillary tube and bulb fpr the water temp and a tube for the oil. (mechanical, in other words) . What can be done to retain the oil sender, I got a tee block but it pushed into the radiater hose. And the water temp , I dont know anywhere to put it. Are you guys using electric gauges.
Thanks

Try installing the factory oil sender facing up on your tee and the oil line forward, that should give you the clearance you need. I used black split wire covering and zip ties to secure the oil and water tubing.

On the temp guage, be sure to install the sensor in the intake manifold where the factory sender was: furthest to the passenger side. The driver's side sensor gives the ECM it's temp readings. Rather than cut the electrical plug, I was able to weave the original back into the main wire loom for the engine.

HTH, and watch the road too, not just those   guages!

Turbojim,
Concerning the oil press tee, the tee i found had the big threads for the sender on the front and small on top. Just neeed to find one like you got.
The water temp, you are talking about a mech. sender right? If so, where is the port on the pass side and what was there before?.
Thanks alot :)

Yes for my mechanical temp guage I removed the factory sender for the dash light and installed the bulb end to the new guage in it's place. The hole for the old temp sender/guage bulb is on the passenger side of the intake, facing the front of the car.

Clear as mud yet? :)
