i plan on following steve monroes DIY alcohol injection kit exactly how he has it laid out on his site. my car is a daily driver so will i have any problems of alky being sucked in while at idle or while car is parked overnight or at the most 2 or 3 days? his system dos employ a check valve after the resevoir and before the pump.]

thanks:)

My system has a check valve between the pump and the nozzle. Thats the way I would do it. It wont go into the engine while sitting because usually the nozzle should be higher than the alky tank, if thats what you mean

I have the DIY kit on my GN but mounted the nozzle in the outlet neck of the intercooler and did have a problem with alcohol getting into the IC. I don't know if it was because the nozzle is mounted lower than the reservoir or if it was being drawn in under high vacuum conditions or what. All I know is that when I took the IC out to install an aluminum crank pulley I heard sloshing in the IC and about a 1/2 cup of alky came pouring out of it! I ended up installing an alky solenoid about a foot from the nozzle to prevent this from happening again. It was pricey at $112 but the piece of mind is worth it. The solenoid is wired to come on whenever the pump is running. Check here for pics. BTW this setup does work, was running around 24 lbs of boost on an 85 degree day with only 93 octane in the tank with no knock retard. Steve was very helpful with installation tips.
