I recently got a 87 turbo t and it has a external turbonetics Race Gate on it.It is run so one side of port goes to a t then to controler then the other port goes direct to otherside of controler.Boost is at 22 or so now with alky seems to run just fine etc.But what i am wondering is anytime i let off i hear the turbo spin back ,is ths normal or am i confusing it function wise with a blow off valve? What is best way to test the valve for proper operation,turn controler down to zero and see wher race gate lets it boost to or what.
I guess external gate make little sense to me right now....so some one please explain this in dum dum terms.. I now it is more acurate for boost but how do i know it is working i guess?
