You can try, but they are meshed coolers. The correct way would be to either filter before rad for protection, or have the rad cut and cleaned like a converter. I am NOT going to say you will get it all out.
Better safe then sorry , I always say.
I think I am going to say no, to protect myself. If it were me and a failure occured, I would do anything I could to prevent from having any more problems and throwing away more money down the road.
