RC car fuel substitute for alcohol

Anyone try radio control car fuel in their alcohol injection system?
After reading the side of a container I have it seems to be worth a try.

methanol
nitromethane
caster oil

Yea I'm curious on this too....would it be safe to try, i have an R/C car with a blown engine so i got alot of fuel left.

I'm thinking it would work great. By volume there is a 12% caster oil blend for lubrication and 30-70% nito/methanol in this jug.

I think nitro needs like 1-50th the amount of air compared to gas to burn. In other words the top fuel guys jam 50 times the fuel through their motors, it just takes less oxygen to burn.

I wonder if the nitro would realistically add some power?

I dont know how stable the stuff is but I dont think it would be too safe to have 1/2 gallon of it under the hood, just my .02

The methanol and nitromethane wouldn't be too good for a SMC kit pump.

Nitro is an oxygenated fuel (it has oxygen in it that is released under combustion.)

I don't believe Methanol mixes with gasoline but would that even matter?

It would add power - that is for sure. I'd like to know how it turns out.

Nitropropane (is a liquid) CAN be mixed with gas in the tank. It will add 5% but you must richen the mixture to use it.

I know someone who tried it... don't think it worked though. That stuff is full of oil, and I think it might actually bog the turbo down or something. I think they said it wouldn't light, but I dunno exactly why, as it runs in CI engines I would think that an SI engine would burn it just fine, but there's probably something I'm missing.

Years ago I used a MTBE/pump gas mix in the tank with much success. Because it is also highly oxygenated, I wonder how well it would work in the SMC injection kit??? I believe it is also a "paint thinner", much like denatured.

Yeah - I got some 100% from some connections (havdto dilute, of course!!) LEmme know if it works (if your actually thinkin of doin it).
