Re-installing PTS Bottom Feeder

This might be a question for Bruce, but if anyone knows please feel free to answer....

The instructions say to install both filter "O" rings in the pump (there were 2 when I bought it). But I am re-installing it and only have 1 filter O ring. Is it a big deal if I install it with just 1 ring?

Well, it will work but I would like to see you have the two. Where did it go? Is it still up in the bore? Anyway do it right and find the other or purchase one to move forward. There were two when it left us, wasn't there?

Bruce, there were 2 when I bought the sump, and they were installed when I first put it in. Then when I got the trans back from getting rebuilt there was only one with the stock filter they installed. I didn't give them the aluminum pan (didn't want it to get all scratched up) when I had it rebuilt, so they just installed a stock filter with one O ring in the stock pan I had on it.

The originals kind of got destroyed removing them.

I'll pick up another O ring tomorrow.
