I have a scraping sound that seems to be coming from the left rear wheel. What might it be? If I hit the brakes it doesn't seem to make a difference but slowing down does. After driving it, the left rear drum was warmer than the other side.

sounds like you need new pads ..or drums, maybe both .

Pulled the wheel and drum and a yellow spring fell out. Looks like it came from the front rear brake shoe. Everything else looks good. Will this spring come with a new set of shoes?

You can buy a brake hardware kit that has all the springs for both sides for little of nothing at any parts store.

Could possibly be part of the adjuster kit as well. I'd bring it with to make sure.
