Removing door panels.

Hello----I just want to replace the factory 5.25 door speakers with a modern, inexpensive set of 4 ohm 5.25 speakers.( about 2" deep)
What am I going to have to do to get to them ??? Remove the entire door panel ??? Will just the lower part come off?? Or--I don't suppose the CSII covers just pop off for easy access do they??? (GM never makes it easy).
Car is 87 T-type Limited. My limited mechanical ability makes this a big project for me so any tips you can send my way will be appreciated.

i believe you have to remove the entire panel the lower section is conected to the upper fromthe back. i think the concert sound pod is as well. i havent gotten to the doors yet but some of the oter guys might know for sure.....
